Coming Out of the Spiritual Closet

“Being spiritual has nothing to do with what you believe and everything to do with your state of consciousness.”

—  Eckhart Tolle

My spiritual journey began in my mid-20’s in a yoga class. The teacher read a quote before the class that absolutely rocked me to my core. I spent the whole class pondering these words of wisdom that had set my neurons firing with this new information.

I no longer remember exactly what the quote was (doesn’t matter, everything he says is gold), but when I asked her about it after class she told me it was from Eckhart Tolle’s book, ‘The Power of Now’. I immediately went out and bought it and thus began my descent down the rabbit hole of spiritual exploration.

For the next two years I devoured books, documentaries, and YouTube videos on the topics of spirituality, world religions, reincarnation, extraterrestrial life,  metaphysics, parallel universes, personal development, consciousness, energy, wellness, healing, etc.

I was looking for the common themes. I’m always looking for the connections and the overlaps. When you strip away the differences in language and perspective, and look at all things objectively, what remains comparable?

Eventually I began to form my own beliefs, based on what resonated with me – what felt true to my own personal experience, – layered onto what I was learning from my research.

I would describe my beliefs as landing in the place where science and spirituality meet. I will try to capture these beliefs in the following statements.

I believe that we are conscious, energetic beings, having a physical experience on this crazy playground of horrors and delights called Earth.

I believe that we have the power to change our personal experience of our lives through our thoughts and intentions. This power is rooted in the belief that life is a kind of ‘Soul School’, with lessons in every experience that can bring us to deeper levels of awareness, learning and growth.

This growth and learning aids us in becoming more aligned with our true ‘inner self’. As we think, speak and act from our truth, while letting go of fear and doubt, we raise our consciousness and thus our vibrational frequency. We attract more Abundance into our lives, also more Peace, Joy and Love as our frequency rises.

I have proven this to be true for myself and the many others I’ve worked with. You hear the sayings ‘your vibe attracts your tribe’, or ‘where your attention goes energy flows’. This is what I’m talking about.

This spiritual journey changed the course of my life. After those initial 2 years of exploration, I came to the conclusion that the work I was doing (hairstyling) no longer aligned with my Inner Self, and thus began the search for a career that would align with my core being, and my purpose of helping to raise the consciousness of the Earth.

This is why I have chosen to do the work of coaching, so I can continue to inspire in people the recognition of their inner power and ability to raise their consciousness and their energetic frequency.

In practical terms, this translates to creating the life of your dreams.

It starts with developing a deeper understanding of one’s Inner Self. When we become more aware of how our thoughts, feelings and actions lead to our results in life, we become the conscious creators of our own reality.

It’s a dual process of getting clear on what you prefer and desire, and aligning your thoughts and actions with that, while also letting go of any fears and doubts so you can step into the fullest expression of your SELF. I’m not saying this is an easy process, I’m just outlining what the process is.

When we show up in the world authentically and without fear, we attract people, places and things that align with our vibrational frequency. This means attracting friends, jobs, partners, homes you name it! The skies the limit, the world is your oyster and everything you desire will be yours!

This is why the pillars of my coaching business are Confidence, Courage, and Positive Thinking. It’s about having the confidence to be your true self, the courage to move through fear and doubt when it arrives, and the ability to be clear on what you DO want (positive thinking) instead of focusing on what you DON’T want (negative thinking).

This doesn’t necessarily mean life will be ALL sunshine and roses. For there is no light without the darkness. No yin without yang. However, when we exist in this high vibrational frequency, we have a different experience of darkness and pain. On these higher vibrational levels, suffering doesn’t exist, just the pure experience of pain, and all of the raw aliveness that comes with it. The suffering comes from the judgement and resistance we layer onto our pain. When raise our consciousness, we release  judgement and resistance, and let the pain flow through us.

In addition, when pain arrives you will be surrounded by a supportive community of folks who match your higher frequency and can support you from that level even just by radiating the higher frequencies of acceptance, reason, love, joy and peace.

So here it is, all laid out in black and white. This is a very high level overview of an intricate and layered topic, condensed into a blog post. There is so much more I could say, but I want to keep this as simple as possible for now. If you have any questions, comments or arguments, I wholeheartedly invite you to share them below, or reach out to me directly through this site.

It’s a beautiful world I imagine for the future. I will work towards this world until my last breath, and then maybe even after that….

Small Shifts = Big Changes

My pregnancy flattened me, energetically.

I have to say I was fortunate enough to have had a wonderful birth and now a delightful baby, but I’ve been barely hanging on when it comes to my physical energy.

Pregnancy and Entrepreneurship – Expectations Vs. Reality

I am self-employed, 31 weeks pregnant, and I was WOEFULLY unprepared for the experience that it’s been so far. I had big expectations of what I could accomplish during my pregnancy and how to set myself up for maternity leave. Little did I know what my body, mind, heart and soul was in for.
